To be completed by: 14:00

Time: Wed 06 Mar 2024 10:00-14:00 | Venue: Cartwright Hall Art Gallery

Bradford Museums & Galleries are going to be hosting a Creative Skills Careers Fair as part of National Careers Week 2024.

Where: Cartwright Hall Art Gallery

When: Wednesday 6th March 2024

Times: morning session – 10am-11.45am (arrival from 9.45am), afternoon session 12.30pm – 2pm (arrive from 12.15pm)

What can your students see / do? Groups will rotate around the following activities:

  • A conversation with a creative practitioner – a chance to find out what it takes to succeed in the creative industries, and a chance to ask all those burning questions.
  • Take part in a short workshop with a creative practitioner – develop your skill set.
  • Visit our range of stalls – meet people from different creative industries and organisations who run creative courses – a chance to find out what they do, what sort of skills you need to do the same work and to consider what your next career steps might be.
  • Look at our inspiring new exhibition by photographer Shy Burhan – Women in Uniform, showcasing the district’s women in a wide range of careers and reading their motivating stories.

We can accommodate 90 students in each session and places must be pre-booked. They will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, so please let us know asap to secure your school’s places. Students will be in groups of 30 to rotate around the activities so if you are bringing less pupils than this they may be asked to join another small group.
