The Board of Trustees at Exceed Academies Trust, as the admissions authority,
intends to determine (set and approve) the following admissions policy arrangements for entry into all mainstream schools within the Trust during the academic year September 2025 to July 2026.
Exceed Academies Trust wishes to consult regarding the inclusion of Cavendish Primary School and
Knowleswood Primary School within the Trust's Admissions Policy for the academic year 2025/2026. There is no change to the way parents/carers apply for a place at these schools; however, there is a minor change to the oversubscription criteria
that will be used by the two schools to align them with other schools across the Trust.
The change for Cavendish Primary School and Knowleswood Primary School is the introduction of the oversubscription criterion (Priority 3) relating to children of staff contractually employed to work at the school at which
a pupil place is being applied for who:
- have been employed at the school for two or more years at the time at which the application for admission to the school is made; or
- have been recruited to fill a vacant post at the school for which there is a demonstrable skill shortage.

This consultation will run for a six-week period from 13 October 2023 until 24 November 2023.

When responding it would be helpful to us if you are able to indicate which school you are associated with or local to and whether you are a parent, staff member, member of the community, etc.
Following the consultation period, Exceed Academies Trust will consider any comments received before determining the admission arrangements for 2025/2026 no later than 28 February 2024.
