From October 2023, our schools outreach activities will cover a range of subjects including light, sound and working scientifically. Our visits will be free of charge within Bradford postcodes (BD1–12) and Keighley (BD21).

We’re currently offering a Light day, and an Invent and Imagine day (links below) with a Sound day coming soon (November)

Light Day | National Science and Media Museum

Invent and imagine day | National Science and Media Museum

Both have a 30minute science show ‘assembly’ for a school hall, with 3 diverse scientists and 3 spectacular demonstrations pitted against each other for the audience to pick a winner; followed by as many 30,40 or 50 minute workshops on their topic area, either Light, or ‘working scientifically’ for the invent and imagine day.

The workshops explore the working scientifically methodologies and approaches in the National Curriculum for KS2 and KS3, and set challenges for students to overcome using their knowledge and creativity. Both fully comprehensive packages support students in discovering the wonders of STEM in the world around us and show them how to apply their knowledge to real world problems in the 21st century.
