Bradford’s love of cars and car culture is well known, but ever thought about what it takes to get that engine revving and those wheels in motion? Fuelling Futures is a new campaign by The Leap which does exactly that!

The Leap has teamed up with Mission 44 – the charity founded by Formula One superstar Lewis Hamilton – and Bradford College, to help find the next generation of the UK’s motorsports talent. To kickstart things, we’re revving up for a summer of automotive themed-fun.

Fuelling future is an exciting day of hands-on activity for students in year 98 and 10 from Bradford and Keighley Schools. We are looking for groups of four to six students to take part per school. This is a FREWE event for schools.

It’s purpose is to promote interest, skills and learning in the motorsport and car industry with specific reference to STEM relate careers. The day is theme around the use of radio controlled cars and looks at the fundamentals of race engineering and off-roading and will be led by a motorsport engineer.

About the day:

Representatives from Bradford College have been invited to support the day.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

The day will be photographed and videoed – permissions will be required for students.

At the end of the day we are also hosting a short press conference and schools are welcome to be involved.

Bookings can be made via the SkillsHouse Portal.

If you have any queries about the session please contact us at: info@the-leap.org.uk
