Bradford Nurture Network

Support is available from the service for schools wishing to develop nurture provision whether as a whole school approach or with a traditional nurture group.

  • Outline

    Bradford’s Nurture Network is for schools and settings wishing to develop their nurturing practice. The aim is to provide a platform for staff to share how they embed principles into practice to support vulnerable children who may have experienced early life trauma and find it difficult to settle to learn.

  • Description

The Network meets half termly. The remaining two sessions for this academi year are based in MMT and will run from 2.00pm - 3.30pm. These networks are free of charge and are aimed at settings who run nurture groups, are thinking of setting up a nurturing provision, or who wish to embed the principles into the classroom or whole school.
 

  • Outcomes    
    • Network with like-minded people who are at different stages of implementing nurturing provision in their settings.
    • Exchange ideas and share resources.
    • Develop an understanding of what is meant by ‘nurture’ in the context of working with vulnerable young people.
