Teacher’s Conference: STEM & The Arts – Saturday 30th September

Hybrid Figures: Creating cross-curricular ways of working inspired by John Smeaton is a FREE LEEDS 2023 STEAM Education Conference for primary and secondary teachers. Using John Smeaton as inspiration, the day will include keynote presentations from academics, creative industry representatives and expert teachers in STEAM education and will explore practical ways to make teaching cross-curricular; how to use arts methods as teaching tools in STEM subjects and how to integrate STEM into arts subjects. This conference is for primary and secondary teachers who represent STEM or Arts subjects.

Yorkshire Schools Dance Festival, 18th & 19th October

The Yorkshire Dance Festival takes place at The Carriageworks in Leeds on 18th and 19th October as part of LEEDS 2023.  Bradford schools are invited to take part in a FREE carousel of dance activities and workshops. The day will end in a series of 5-minute performances from participating pupils in the main auditorium in response to the last theme of LEEDS 2023, ‘Dreaming’. There are two days of workshops, 18 and 19 October. Each day has capacity for 8 schools. The days will run from 9.30am to 2.30pm.
