The Curriculum Innovation team are pleased to announce a partnership with Bradford Council’s Music Service to fund a free workshop allowing children to develop their understanding of each other through the creation and sharing of personalised digital videos
using music they have created with award winning musician Indy Sagu.
The project will be delivered at the Innovation Centre Bradford in Little Germany and is open to any child in Year 6 but is limited to one pupil per school. The children will attend the morning workshops during the October half term break, Monday 27th October
to Friday 31st October 09:30 – 11:30.
The children will be provided with a digital camera the week before the event and will use this to capture images of their life along with permission from the people they have photographed to be used in the workshop. The images will be edited into a short
filmstrip using iMovie and Indy Sagu will work with the children across the five days using Garage Band to create a digital musical score that will complement their movie and ultimately be combined with their filmstrip to create a personal digital record about
These videos will then be posted on Bradford Council controlled blogs and websites enabling people across the district to get a snapshot of the variety of lives people lead in the district.
We have limited spaces for this project and fourteen children will be chosen from all those who register to take part in the sessions. We will let you know as soon as possible if your child has been selected.
The workshops are free but children do need to arrange their own travel and attend all five days. Refreshments will be available during the workshops.
