Digital Leader Academy - Cohort 1 training Tues 23 Sep

The Digital Leader Training Academy has been designed by the Curriculum Innovation Team to develop selected students to be experts & advocates of using appropriate technologies in schools allowing them to act as ambassadors and peer mentors for staff and other students.

The Digital Leader Training Academy programme:

  • Half day initial training for staff and maximum 6 pupils
  • In school visit to talk to Digital Leaders and monitor progress
  • Half day final training for staff and maximum 6 pupils
  • Celebration/accreditation event with certificates and wrist bands.

Digital Leaders will be able to:

  • Describe and model the safe and responsible use of a range of technologies.
  • Demonstrate appropriate knowledge and understanding of specific technologies relevant to each school context.
  • Exhibit good communication skills and collaborate effectively with staff and students.
  • Understand the concept of ‘Student Voice’ and become a conduit for this across the school with reference to the use of innovative digital and mobile technology.
