Looking to build on existing provision for young people, the Council wants to work with young people and families, voluntary and community organisations, Faith groups, CBMDC youth workers, schools, colleges, the private sector and other Council departments,
along with elected members and community leaders, to create a new offer that every young person can benefit from.
The review is being carried out by People Dialogue and Change (PDC). PDC are a team of independent professionals who were selected through an open tender, and who between them have many years experience of working with young people and developing and managing
projects and programmes for young people. PDC will begin this review from September, and report in November 2014.
Happening at the same time the Council is conducting a buildings review of its own centres and clubs for young people, this review will be undertaken completely separately from the youth provision review conducted by People Dialogue and Change.
