Bradford City FC Community Foundation is offering a unique opportunity for talented 16/17 year old boys to pursue a 2 year Futsal and Education Scholarship. The scholarship includes a full-time education package, incorporating:
- BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma, worth up to 3 A Levels
- allows access to university and further study
- opens the door to a coaching career in futsal and football
- opens the door to a career in refereeing
Futsal is the only form of indoor football approved by FIFA, UEFA and the FA. With over 2 million players regularly participating in fast-paced 5-a-side action that rewards food technique and game intelligence.
As a key element of the FA's strategy to develop the game, Bradford City FC in conjunction with Tong High School are now offering this exciting and innovative programme to 16 and 17 year old boys.
Students will have the opportunity to train in Futsal for up to 8 hours a week with Bradford City FC Community Foundation coaches, under the direction of the Football League Trust. Training will be supplemented with regular fortnightly fixtures against
other teams representing professional clubs in the Football League Trust Futsal League, and classroom-based learning.
