Generation Diary - The Anne Frank Trust's Online Diary Campain

The Anne Frank Trust is aiming to build the world’s biggest online diary. Their new website www.generationdiary.org.uk has just gone live, ready for the launch of the campaign 12 June, the 85th anniversary of Anne Frank’s birth.

Generation Diary will be live from 12 June 2014 – 11 June 2015.  It is aimed at 13 – 15 year olds, the ages Anne Frank was when she wrote her diary while hiding from the Nazis.

There are some useful teaching resources for teachers to download from the website. Click here for more information.

The Anne Frank Trust are working with colleagues at the Department of Social Psychology, University of Kent, who will be analysing the data coming through, Generation Diary will give them a snapshot of the zeitgeist of Britain’s young people.

Teenagers can make as many or as few entries as they wish and can even upload filmed entries via Youtube and Vimeo.

You can also tweet about Generation Diary – there are some wonderful celebrities on board tweeting away too such as David Walliams, Gok Wan, and Maddy Hill (Eastenders).
