Celebrate Children’s Book Week with our WW1 Commemoration Event

We have acclaimed children’s poet Roger Stevens visiting Bradford Libraries on Thursday 3rd July. Roger is the co-author with Brian Moses, of a new collection of poems about war. “What Are We Fighting For?” is a fascinating and moving collection of poems about WW1, war and the people and animals.

We are offering two sessions at City Library. For each session there are places for three classes. We will offer one class (max 30) per school.

The sessions are suitable for Y4, Y5 and Y6 and are free of charge although we do ask, as the event is supported by Macmillan, that schools mention to parents the opportunity for their child to buy a copy of Roger Steven’s book.
