Ramadhan Guidance for Schools 2014

This year Ramadhan is likely to begin on the 28th June 2014

The guidance document can be downloaded here.

At this time of the year the fast will last 19 or 20 hours and therefore schools and parents need to work together to help prepare young people for this journey to adulthood by reminding them of the purpose of their fast through support, encouragement and praise. The Guidance above has been written to provide schools and parents with advice on how to make this a positive experience for Muslim children attending school during this period.

Further information is available from Muslim staff based at the Interfaith Education Centre (IEC).
