This free event is to celebrate the success of the Weird to Wired project and will give you the opportunity to try it for yourself.
Following a successful European Commission bid, Bradford Council was awarded €45 000 to collaborate with the maths departments of Parkside School, Bradford College and an International School in Rotterdam to develop the use of new technologies in the mathematics
Feedback from all those involved in the project has been overwhelmingly positive. Teachers have found this innovative approach to CPD invigorating, energising and exciting, while being pushed far outside of their comfort zones. Anecdotally, one teacher
said that they had "not been so excited about teaching in years".
This free event will give you the opportunity to try different ways of using iPads to enhance learning in maths, at sessions delivered by teachers using them on a day -to-day basis.
While the interim independent evaluation showed that 84% of pupils found these lessons more fun, 80% found them more interesting and 55% felt that they understood these lessons more.
