Brain based interventions in schools - Fact or Fiction

Quality First Training Course 10th June, 9 - 12 Future House £90 pp Apply via courses desk

Schools are constantly bombarded by interventions claiming to be based on "neuro-science".  Whilst advances in technology mean that we do know more about how the brain works, often these claims are exaggerated.  This course will help participants evaluate these claims in order to select appropriate interventions for their schools.

Intended outcomes for participants:

Participants will:

- Consider the evidence base of particular claims

- Learn to distinguish between neuro fact and fiction

- Be better placed to select appropriate evidence based approaches
