As part of Bradford Libraries commitment to supporting the literacy needs and development of children within the Bradford district we will be operating a children’s library ticket amnesty between April to September 2014.
This will mean that children, who have library tickets that have outstanding fines; lost items or other miscellaneous blocks that prevent them from using their library ticket, will have the opportunity to have their ticket cleared and their borrowing rights
This will enable them to return to using their local library and participate in the Mythical Maze Summer Reading Challenge 2014.
Children simply need to come along to their local library and when they have their chosen books issued any blocks on their library tickets will be removed by a member of library staff.
Children with lost tickets can also take advantage of this opportunity and have their library card replaced.

The children will need to bring their library cards if they have them or the school will need to provide a list of names and addresses to check in advance of the visit. Please find enclosed a list of local libraries and contacts. This does not mean that
individual children cannot take advantage of the ticket amnesty, so if a class visit is not an option for your school please let the children know.
We are sure you will agree that this is a great opportunity for children to return to using the library, where they will find thousands of books to read as well as to participate in the annual summer reading challenge.
Here you can find the
libraries who are taking part and also a
flyer to distribute
