Progress 8 - What You Need To Know!

FFT has teamed up with ASCL to offer briefing sessions across the country to help school leaders understand how they will be held to account through the new headline measure, Progress 8.

The two hour sessions will include information on:

  • why the government is changing the headline measure
  • how the new measure works and how it is calculated
  • operation of the floor standard and likely changes over time
  • whether opting in early is a good idea, and how to do it
  • what data providers are doing to help schools prepare
  • national and local perspectives on the impact of Progress 8

Dates for the Progress 8 training are:

  • Wednesday 4th June – London
  • Friday 6th June  - Birmingham
  • Monday 9th June – York
  • Tuesday 10th June – Manchester
  • Tuesday 1st July – Bristol
