Accredited Health/Safety Training - New IOSH Managing Safely Dates in June

Further dates have been arranged for the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) Managing Safely course. This course is aimed at those with a responsibility for managing health and safety in schools and results in a nationally recognised qualification upon passing.

Following the success of previous Managing Safely courses and the very positive feedback we have received we have arranged a course to be held on:

  • Wednesday 11, Thursday 12, Wednesday 25 and Thursday 26 June 2014 at Holy Family Catholic School in Keighley.

This course is proving extremely popular with Business Managers, Head Teachers and others responsible for health and safety in their school role.  Our training provider, Alcumus Academy has so far secured a 100% pass rate.  Usually there is a maximum of 15 participants in each group and it is anticipated that participants will be almost all, if not entirely, from education/schools, thus facilitating relevant discussion.

Well over one quarter of Bradford schools now has an SLT member with the IOSH Managing Safely qualification.  The Health and Safety Executive, who are the enforcing authority for health and safety in schools, strongly recommend that in all schools at least one member of the management team should have a health and safety qualification.
