The PFE scheduled for 23 April has been postponed

The Public Forum for Education which was scheduled for the 23 April has been postponed and will now take place on Wednesday 18 June 2014 at 4.30pm in the Banqueting Suite of City Hall. The topic is: How can high standards in mathematics be promoted and supported across the District?

Although we have had a number of people interested in the forum, the date is too close to the Easter Holidays and feedback suggests that we postpone the topic until June so that we give more people the opportunity to attend.

June's forum will discuss ways in which maths provision for young people can be broadened and how this impacts on other areas of education. Speakers will focus on:

  • Why achievement in maths is crucial to future success
  • How we can support maths in the home and community

The Public Forum for Education is a fantastic opportunity to hear about and share good practice. Discussions from the forum contribute to policy making in the district, so we want to hear your views. Anyone with an interest is welcome, so please publicise through your networks and bring friends and colleagues.

We apologise for any inconvenience.
