Manual Handling (Practical Lifting & Handling)

The Manual Handling course covers the following areas:

  • Introduction to the structure and function of the spine
  • Basic principles involved in the mechanics of the lifting
  • Relating the mechanics of lifting to the anatomy
  • Demonstration, practice and assessment of typical
    handling tasks

 

Aimed At: This course is aimed at Bradford Council and Non Council employees (including schools) who require a manual handling certificate as part of their role. Please note that there is a cost to Non-council employees (including schools) will have to pay a £50.00 charge to attend this course. No lunch is provided and refreshments can be purchased on the day.
