Access To Books - For pupils with visual impairment

Bradford Libraries are launching their Access To Books collection at Shipley Library on 25th March 2014 at 1.30pm. All are welcome - including groups. The Access To Books collection has 30 giant picture books which also have braille and 75 point type.

The Access To Books collection of picture books allows the following to share books together:
Parents with visual impairment and their children
Grandparents with visual impairment and their grandchildren
Children with visual impairment and their parents
Schools with children who have visual impairment
Schools who wish to introduce children to braille.
Titles in the collection include:  
Dear Zoo by Rod Campbell
Elmer by David McKee
Lulu Loves The Library by Anna McQuinn
Penguin by Polly Dunbar
and 24 other titles.  There will be one collection each in Shipley, Keighley and City Libraries.
At the launch there will be stories from the books, refreshments, a chance to share the books together and a small craft activity.
