Bradford Nurture Network

Support is available from the service for schools wishing to develop nurture provision whether as a whole school approach or with a traditional nurture group.

  • Outline

Bradford’s Nurture Network is for schools and settings wishing to develop their nurturing practice. The aim is to provide a platform for staff to share how they embed principles into practice to support vulnerable children who may have experienced early life trauma and find it difficult to settle to learn.

  • Description

The Network meets virtually, via Teams, once per half term in a twilight session. We will begin to introduce face to face meetings into the schedule once a term as more settings come forward to offer to host them. These networks are free of charge and are aimed at settings who run nurture groups, are thinking of setting up a nurturing provision, or who wish to embed the principles into the classroom or whole school.

  • Outcomes
    • Network with like-minded people who are at different stages of implementing nurturing provision in their settings.
    • Exchange ideas and share resources.
    • Develop an understanding of what is meant by ‘nurture’ in the context of working with vulnerable young people.
