This 2 day face to face course is ideal for staff new to subject leadership or those who want to develop their present role. Delivered at The Innovation Centre Bradford by Tim Bleazard, Curriculum Innovation Consultant, this course is designed for both existing and new Computing subject leaders.

This 2 day course will cover the intent, implementation, and impact related to leading Computing. This will include curriculum coverage, progression, evidencing, portfolios, roles, responsibilities, delegation, curriculum design, staff subject knowledge, assessment, and inclusion strategies for Computing and technology in the early years.

We will cover the role of the subject leader and its many requirements including assessing your current situation, action plan and Computing policy writing, curriculum coverage, mapping progression, evidencing work digitally, assessment, timetabling, recommended hardware and software use and configuration, and preparation for an OFSTED deep dive in Computing. This course will use the materials from the Curriculum Innovation team as well as the best free resources from other sources.

Outcomes
Develop an action plan for the effective leadership of Computing in your primary school
Gain a bank of resources for effective subject leadership
Become confident leaders of Computing
