leaders from organisations across Bradford and national policymakers to explore how we can work together to improve outcomes for children.
You are invited to join us on Tuesday the 12th July at Salts Mill, Saltaire for a full day conference to find out about our bold ambition to build an Alliance for Life Chances to tackle structural inequalities
and champion evidential approaches to improving the life chances of children and young people.
Building on the work of the Bradford Opportunity Area, our vision is to help the Bradford District become a place where all children can achieve their potential, and lead successful, fulfilling lives. We know this will need new thinking, and a 20-year effort.
We need your help and support to tackle this together. Our event is aimed at a range of leaders and practitioners – including school leaders and our health service providers – who work with and understand the needs of our children, young people and families
from across the Bradford district.
The day will be a superb mixture of science, art, and inspiration with the chance to hear about world leading programmes of research. There will be with panel discussions, live performances and project showcasing throughout the day. Lunch and refreshments
will be provided.
The day offers a unique opportunity to celebrate and learn about some of the ways that Bradford has created new ways of connecting health and education systems. Most importantly, the day will focus on the opportunities to transform outcomes for children
and young people and the possibilities afforded by Bradford becoming the City of Culture in 2025 and hosting the largest study of adolescence in the world (the 'Age of Wonder' phase of Born in Bradford). We feel that it is essential that every school in the
district is aware of the ongoing work and can help shape the future direction of travel - and that is why we would urge you to ensure your school is represented at the event.
Booking is essential as places are extremely limited, and we recommend that you do so as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. We are only able to offer one place per school for a senior member of staff to attend, and we hope that you will
take that place.
