Cycle to Work scheme - open again for the spring
As the weather improves, now could be the perfect time to start cycling for the first time or just upgrade your old bike, with the cycle to work scheme.
Applications are opening again on 1 May for 6 weeks and this year the allowance has been increased to a fantastic £4000, to allow you to purchase a wider range of bikes such as more expensive electric bikes.
And it's not just bikes that can be purchased - you can also buy sportswear, pedals, lights, panniers, safety equipment and much more. So even those of you already with a bike may want to take advantage.
The benefit of the scheme is that the costs are spread across the year and deducted directly from your salary. Also, savings of up to 40% off the usual retail cost can be made.
