Skipping is a fast paced & exciting activity for children, which leads to improved health, fitness and fundamental movement skills and increases self-esteem, confidence, determination and perseverance.
This Staff CPD session is aimed at PE Subject Leaders, Class Teachers, Teaching Assistants and Lunchtime Supervisors.
Our aim is to share, by way of demonstration and participation, a range of skipping skills and long rope games to enable attendees to back to their respective schools and stimulate skipping through playground activity, PE lessons and club sessions.
The range of skipping skills and games have been carefully selected to engage children from EYFS to Year 6. We will show how we start children off on their skipping journey and then progress through from the basics to more complex movements.
Following the session, attendees will receive access to our skipping tutorial videos, Teacher Resource Pack and our Skill Development Cards.
This course is organised by the Bradford School Games Team and is FREE to access.
