We will be doing maintenance to our website systems on Sunday, 31 January. Despite the ongoing situation with Covid-19 it is essential that we maintain the security of our systems. This will help us continue to deliver vital public health messages and information about council services via our website and allow you all to access our services using online forms. The work should be done with little disruption to you and any interruption should be short. If you do have problems accessing the site or something doesn’t work on Sunday, please try again later.
The DWP has allocated a £5.6m Household Support Grant to Bradford Council. This is to provide support to vulnerable and disadvantaged children and families from Oct 2021 to 31st March 2022.
£1.2m will be allocated directly to schools. Once all school census returns are completed we will be allocating funds on a proportionate basis.
The funding must be used to provide food for vulnerable children and their families and may include support for essential items for example blankets; period products etc. Schools will identify the children and families in their community that need support and can decide how this is done for example vouchers; direct payment; food parcels etc. The money must be spent by the 31st March 2022.
Funding will be paid to schools on November 22nd via Schools Finance team. Notifications will be on BSO
