Calling all Primary and Secondary Schools in the Bradford and Craven Districts, we have a peer mentoring programme available free of charge to help improve the mental wellbeing of your young people!

The aim of the programme is to form a network of School Co-ordinators, who would work with us to improve the mental health of Young People across our districts; recruiting, training, and mentoring older year groups who, in turn, would mentor those younger than themselves. The ambition is to break down the stigma of mental health by establishing champions (peer mentors) within each School, overseen by trained staff.

In return, the Brathay Project team supports you, the School Co-ordinator, by providing not only the initial training but also a step-by-step guide to setting up a Peer Mentoring Program in your school, access to a comprehensive tool kit and ongoing support from Brathay staff…all completely FREE OF CHARGE! The take up has been fantastic and feedback highlights that the delivery method and ongoing support is a very useful tool for those already enrolled. At present the programme is due to conclude in March 2022, therefore we wanted to ensure you had the opportunity to join us before this date comes around.

The next training event will be on Tuesday 23rd November 2021, hosted via zoom and running from 9.30 – 12pm. We are now accepting expressions of interest and spaces are limited, so places will be offered on a first come, first served basis.

For further enquiries, or to book your places on this exciting programme, please contact Amy Charlton on 07776766953, or by emailing amy.charlton@brathay.org.uk.

*Please note that the deadline to book is Friday 19th November 2021*

We look forward to hearing from you soon and wish you all the best for the new academic year.

Best wishes,

Amy Charlton
