YMCA Bradford are recruiting our second round of schools our Changing Futures Peer Mentoring programme that supports positive mental health for young people and supports young people transitioning to secondary school
The Changing Futures peer mentoring programme is delivered by students in years 10, 11 and 12 supported by qualified and experienced YMCA Youth Workers. The programme offers youth led emotional wellbeing mentoring and support for students making the transition
from primary to secondary school.
As part of the programme students will be supported to deliver:
- Peer Mentoring (with accreditation opportunities)
- Wellbeing sessions
- Social Action projects
- Assemblies & Workshops
- Mental Health focused initiatives
For schools interested in round 2 you will need to be able to identify young people who are interested in becoming Peer Mentors and delivering youth social action initiatives who will trained to deliver the programme for an October launch in conjunction with
World Mental Health Day.
Schools interested in taking part should contact Chris Torrance by email at chris.torrance@bradfordymca.org.uk or phone 07785 659836
