YMCA Bradford are recruiting our second round of schools our Changing Futures Peer Mentoring programme that supports positive mental health for young people.
The Changing Futures peer mentoring programme is delivered by students in years 10, 11 and 12 supported by qualified and experienced YMCA Youth Workers. The programme offers youth led emotional wellbeing mentoring and support for students making the transition
from primary to secondary school.
As part of the programme students will be supported to deliver:
- Peer Mentoring (with accreditation opportunities)
- Wellbeing sessions
- Social Action projects
- Assemblies & Workshops
- Mental Health focussed initiatives
For schools interested in round 2 you will need to be able to identify young people who are interested in Peer Mentoring who will trained to deliver the programme for an October launch in conjuction with World Mental Health Day.
