We will be doing maintenance to our website systems on Sunday, 31 January. Despite the ongoing situation with Covid-19 it is essential that we maintain the security of our systems. This will help us continue to deliver vital public health messages and information about council services via our website and allow you all to access our services using online forms. The work should be done with little disruption to you and any interruption should be short. If you do have problems accessing the site or something doesn’t work on Sunday, please try again later.
A virtual linking programme connecting 2 classes of students together to explore shared themes of identity, diversity, equality and community.
The Linking Network have adapted our successful face to face linking model and we’ve launched our Shuttle Dialogue Linking Programme for Secondary Schools. The programme is delivered in school from the classroom by the class teacher and the linking teachers exchange the ideas, perspectives and questions students have in between sessions. Our secondary programme is focused on helping young people discover why connecting with others is something which can be positive for them and to explore with them the opportunities and benefits it offers. The programme is easy for teachers to deliver. We’ve created 5 sessions which are available to be downloaded from our website as PowerPoint presentations. The sessions have teacher talk notes provided for each slide so are ready to be delivered but can also be edited and adapted to suit the needs of the students. The programme is offered free of charge to schools in the Bradford District due to the funding received from the Bradford for Everyone programme. If you’d like to know more about the programme please contact liz.firth@thelinkingnetwork.org.uk or have a look at the resources on the website https://thelinkingnetwork.org.uk/resources-2/secondary-school-resources/shuttle-dialogue-linking-for-secondary-schools-2020-2021/
