30 hour childcare - codes reminder
A reminder to all Early Years settings offering 30 hours childcare, the next application deadline for 30 hours free childcare is on Tuesday 31st August. As parents may need time to supply additional information to HMRC, we would encourage them to apply in
plenty of time ahead of the deadline in order to secure a code for the Autumn term.
Parents should be directed to
www.childcarechoices.gov.uk to apply.
Those parents who have a current code and wish to continue accessing 30 hours in the Autumn term will need to ensure that the code is renewed and kept up to date. Renewals are required every 3 months.
Please encourage parents to continue to keep their codes up to date to prevent them from losing out on the additional hours.
Reminder: EEA pre-settled status
EEA and Swiss nationals already resident in the UK before 31st December 2020 will need to ensure they have applied for EU Settled Status by 30th June 2021 if they want to keep accessing their 30 hours free childcare entitlement and Tax-Free childcare. In
the meantime, they should continue to apply for, and reconfirm, their 30 hours places as usual using the Childcare Service.
