HAF Grant – School Webinar Sessions

To be completed by: Thu 27 May 2021

Time: -Thu 27 May 2021 | Venue:

Bradford Council will be holding information sessions for schools around the DfE funding for holiday clubs via the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme.

The HAF Grant is targeted at FSM Children. Schools know who their FSM children are and therefore it is essential that schools are at the heart of Holiday Club provision planning. We are asking voluntary sector and community groups applying for the grants to engage directly with schools. Our preference is for joint bids to be submitted and we are asking applicants to evidence the schools they are working with. This will take the form of a named contact or letter from the school. This approach is to ensure we are able to offer the best experience for children and young people at a ward level.

We understand that some schools may not be running a holiday club this year. However, we would welcome applications from schools that are willing to open their schools and ground to enable other organisations to deliver holiday clubs from their premises.  On that basis, your application would need to cover the opening and running costs including cleaning etc.

To support schools' questions around the HAF Grant we are scheduling school-specific sessions on

  • Wednesday May 26 - 9am - 10am

  • Wednesday May 26  - 3.30pm - 4.30pm

  • Thursday May 27 - 3.30pm - 4.30pm
