Are you up to date on the changing face of right wing extremism and the way that these ideologies are shared on-line? This virtual session will share up to date information from national Prevent networks so that schools are better able to assess risk and safeguard pupils.

OBJECTIVES

This session will update participants in the current risks posed by far right and right wing extremist narratives, including,

  • The changing face of right wing extremism
  • The use of online technologies by ring wing extremists
  • Conspiracy theory and Q-Anon (a more in-depth session on this theme is available)
  • Symbolism, including fashion

OUTCOMES

  • To recognise and respond to right wing ideologies shared online
  • To minimise the impact of right wing ideologies within your setting

  • A PDF of the PowerPoint will be made available
  • A PDF poster of symbols and links to further information will be provided for the reference of DSL/SLT
  • Sector specific case studies are provided

The training is free of charge and led by the City of Bradford MDC Prevent Team.
