Time: -Wed 31 Mar 2021 | Venue:

The Bradford Bulls Foundation is delighted to offer support to secondary schools’ PE delivery with a focus on Rugby League for girls.

With this year’s Rugby League World Cup, hosted in England, having a women’s tournament the profile of women and girls’ Rugby league will never be higher.

We want to leverage this to increase girls’ engagement in the sport in Bradford’s schools, culminating in a Bradford World Cup tournament where each school represents one of the nations participating in the World Cup.  You could even link this into their academic studies, encouraging them to find out more about the countries involved.

We can offer the following packages to secondary schools to take part:

Package 1 (6 weeks) - PE Development & Girls’ Rugby league team – Total £180

  • 3 hours a week
  • 18 hours for the term.
  • £10 per hour (normally £25p/h)

Package 2 (6 weeks) - After School Girls’ Rugby League team - Total £60

  • 1 hour a week
  • 6 hours for the term
  • £10 per hour (normally £25p/p/h)

Package 3 (6 weeks) PE Rugby League Development – Total £120

  • 2 hours a week
  • 12 hours for the term
  • £10 per hour (normally £25p/h)

Our coaches will deliver Rugby League in PE or After School Clubs to develop the girls’ RL skills and give the school the opportunity to enter a team in the Bradford World Cup Tournament.  Players who show an aptitude and desire to continue participating will be signposted to community clubs.

Please note that the tournament would be Tag Rugby League, not full contact.
