Dance for Life are celebrating International Women’s Day on Monday 8th March by hosting 3 free 30-minute dance workshops, guaranteed to be fun, empowering and get you moving whilst being at home!

International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.

The dance workshops are suitable for all ages and abilities. Choose from Bollywood and Street Dance, Ballet for beginners or dance fitness.

Monday 8th March 

9am Jai Ho

Feel like you are in a music video with this Bollywood and Street Dance inspired routine to Pussy Cat Dolls song ‘Jai Ho’ taught by Dance for Life tutor Alex Mettam.

 

12pm Ballet for Beginners

Perfect for those with little or no ballet experience, this class is a great introduction to the fundamentals of ballet – helping to improve balance, coordination and flexibility. Learn to move with confidence and grace in this relaxed and friendly class with Dance for Life tutor Alexandra Doe.

 

4pm Around the World Dance Fitness

Travel the world through dance as we have fun learning salsa, Caribbean carnival, Bollywood dance and more with Dance for Life tutor Tricia Arthur-Stubbs.

 

The sessions will be hosted online via Zoom and booking is essential. To book your place email laura.liddon@bradford.gov.uk who will confirm your place and send you details to attend.

 

Dance for Life are a Bradford based project that sits in Bradford Council’s Community Sports and Development Unit. They offer classes, workshops, after school clubs, performance opportunities and dance training schemes across the Bradford district for all abilities and in many different styles of dance.
