Due to a continued overwhelming response of attendees for the Cyber Security webinars West Yorkshire Police are offering another opportunity for schools to participate.
Cyber Security Awareness – Addressing Risk & Reducing Vulnerabilities
Police Officers – Rob Cowgill and Claire Allison from West Yorkshire Police’s Cyber Crime Team will provide a webinar outlining;
- Current Cyber Security Threats,
- Advice on how to mitigate those threats,
- Identifying risk in young people,
- Early intervention and resources available to promote positive learning.
The proposed dates for these new webinars are as follows;
Tuesday 23rd February 2021 - 10.30am to 11.30am,
Tuesday 9th March 2021 - 10.30am to 11.30am,
Tuesday 23rd March 2021- 10.30am to 11.30am.

the commencement date.
Also below is a link which will provide Schools & Parents/Carers with lots of resources around online safety, which include games, videos, quizzes, PPTs, lesson plans. Aimed at children aged between 3- 18yrs of age, as well as advice and guidance
for parents/carers. If you hover over the Safer Internet Day picture below, it will take you to a live presentation, which will take place on Tuesday 9th February ’21 between 10.30am- 11.00am. The presentation will be delivered by a PCSO, who will
provide online safety advice to Primary aged school children. WYP will also be conducting a FB Live between 1pm – 1.30pm on 9th February, which will be presented by officers who will provide advice and guidance for parents/carers around online safety.
You will also be able to ask any questions/queries you have around online safety, to the officers.
