Following return to school this term after the summer closure due to Covid you will no doubt be aware of the new exclusions codes and the removal of the 'Other' code. Thus the reporting form EX1 to the LA has been updated for school use.

Following return to school this term after the summer closure due to Covid you will no doubt be aware of the new exclusions codes which I have updated on the EX1 form for all returns to the LA in regards to:

  • All permanent exclusions;
  • Those exclusion that take the pupil over 5 days in a term (or more than 10 lunchtimes in a term); and
  • Any exclusion which would result in the pupil missing a public examination or national curriculum test.

(DfE 2017 statutory guidance Pg 15)

Please continue to use the exclusionsteam@bradford.gov.uk inbox for these returns and input all exclusions on your data management systems as they will pull through to our system. Exclusion Officers no longer input any exclusions to ensure the validity of our data due to conflicts which arose when we supported with this due to reason codes not matching.

Forms for submitting can be found at the link below:

If any school has used the 'Other' code for any exclusion these will need to be amended to a code in use so they pull through out systems, these are:
