Pleasefind attached the Condition Data Collection (CD2) letter received from the DforE, in regards to school visits to collect information about the condition and management of school buildings. Previous data collected provided a robust evidence base to enable the Department for Education to target capital investment in the school estate to where it is most needed, and to make the case for further capital funding for school buildings. The DforE plan to carry out another programme of visits between 2021 and 2026 with the provisional list of all schools to be visited under CDC2 and when they are to be visited can be viewed here.

Tranche 1 only

For those schools in tranche 1, if there are any planned building works when schools are due to be visited, it would be helpful if you could let Client Services  know by 11th November 2020 so we can provide the DfE a comprehensive list. By ‘planned building works’, we mean a major rebuild or refurbishment that would deny surveyors access to the school site.

PLEASE NOTE: if you miss the deadline of the 11th November, please email your responses direct to the DfE on  DfE .cdcprogramme@education.gov.uk. before the 16th Novemberr 2020.
