We will be doing maintenance to our website systems on Sunday, 31 January. Despite the ongoing situation with Covid-19 it is essential that we maintain the security of our systems. This will help us continue to deliver vital public health messages and information about council services via our website and allow you all to access our services using online forms. The work should be done with little disruption to you and any interruption should be short. If you do have problems accessing the site or something doesn’t work on Sunday, please try again later.
The DfE has updated its guidance on the scheme to support schools and academies with additional / exceptional costs related to COVID-19 that have been incurred between March and July. The DfE has also opened the online process for submitting claims. Please see the links below or the DfE website.
Claims must be submitted by schools and academies (the Authority cannot do this on a maintained school's behalf) using this online process. The deadline for claims is 21 July 2020 and the DfE is clear that there will be no extensions.
The DfE does indicate that there will be a second window in autumn in which to submit claims for the remainder of the summer term. We encourage all schools and academies to review the guidance and to submit a claim where it is legitimate to do so.
