The Curriculum Innovation Service recognises that computing is a subject area that not all members of staff are confident in delivering and in recognition of this we have developed a scheme of work filled with lesson plans, resources and video tutorials
for each year group and strand of the subject to assist you. We supplement this with a range of CPD options, consultancy time, staff meetings and telephone / email support and we also provide a weekly bulletin with information about useful resources, links
to relevant events and updates from the team. As part of Bradford Council we are here to assist you in whatever ways we can and are able to provide online CPD, virtual training and in-school visits (once the current situation allows). We currently work with
a wide range of teachers, pupils and SLT across the district, either individually or as a group of schools within a partnership / chain.
There are a full range of subscription options available depending on your requirements which can be viewed
here and you also have the option of building your own bespoke package of support - there is a bespoke calculator on the right hand menu to help you calculate the price of your chosen elements. Packages
can be purchased from today but schools will not be invoiced until the end of September.
All standard subscriptions include Premium Services which includes access to the Online Computing Scheme of Work, technology guides and interactive tutorials, Santa Claus interactive video experience, Gaming Festival and discount on all
digital loan boxes. If you do not require Premium Services or other provision in a standard subscription please create your own bespoke subscription where you can define your own package. Email / telephone support is standard in all subscriptions and includes
updates from the team and access to support via the website, email, phone and social media.
Before choosing a package it is recommended that you contact tim.bleazard@theinnovationcentres.com on 07961 213553 to ensure the support chosen meets the needs of school in the most cost effective manner. There is also the option to build a partnership subscription
which allows a group of schools to custom build a collective package to meet the needs of the partnership; individual schools can still create their own subscriptions to supplement this if they wish.
If you need assistance on how to buy a package in Skills4Bradford please contact sarah.hawkins@bradford.gov.uk.
