Further to the communication from me yesterday evening, given the current circumstances, we are NOT inviting all schools to attend a meeting today at Margaret McMillan Tower.
Whilst we appreciate that you may be making your own plans, I need to request that they are not implemented unless they are part of the local authority’s agreed co-ordinated response to enable us to discharge our local civil contingency responsibilities.
We will be sending further updates shortly and will be contacting schools on an individual basis in order for schools to support emergency planning processes.
