You are invited to a special one-off event called 'A Grand Day Out'
on Saturday 14th March, 10am-4pm at The National Science and Media Museum.
The event, which has been organised by primary schools in BD5 and the Science and Media Museum, is a chance for families to learn and spend time together. Filled to the brim with fantastic FREE activities, this will be a day like no other!
The event will include activities such as:
- Junk Orchestra - Rock out with our 'rubbish' music making workshop!
- Bhangra dance - learn traditional dance moves all the way from India
- Donovan - fancy yourself as a lyricist? Come test your skills in our rap workshop.
- Cardboard Arcade - A computer game, but not as you know it. Try our recycled cardboard arcade!
- ‘Hannah on the Hill’ - a beautiful 'make and take' activity to get your creative juices flowing.
- Richard O'Neill - Romany author and storyteller Richard brings his unique puppetry to life.
- BD5 Gaming Showcase - created by children from the BD5 primary schools, real-life computer games to try!
- Maths World – a 3D maths structure to test your building skills
- Face painting.
- A free book for every family (while stocks last).
