Outline
 
A 2 hour session designed to give participants an insight and basic experience in using the Makaton Language Programme.
 
Description
 
Around 25 signs and symbols will be learnt with the opportunity of learning a further 15 signs and symbols with the early Years theme.

During the session attendees will receive information on Makaton, learn signs to promote effective communication with others and practice signing in sentences with the group.

There will be opportunities to practice together and handouts of the vocabulary will be given out.

This session is useful as the first step to attending further Makaton training.
