Outline
 
The aim of the SENCO Forums is to enable SENCOs to develop their role in promoting and supporting inclusive practice in their setting.
 
Description
 
The 'Early Identification of SEN in the Early Years' SENCO Forum is split into 2 parts. It is recommended that you attend both parts.

Part 1 - Will enable SENCos to:

Familiarise with legislation and statutory requirements
Develop an understanding of how to implement the SEN Code of Practice effectively through a graduated response.

Part 2 - Will Enable SENCos to:

Understand the importance of early identification and intervention for children who may be at risk of developmental delay.
Write an outcome and provision document.
Familiarise with the process for making referrals to the 0-25 Inclusive Education Service, High Incidence Team.

Part 1 - 9:30am - 12:00 noon
Part 2 - 1:00pm - 3:30pm

Free session - Non-attendance Chargeable.
