Course description :

This 2 day Re-qualifying course is designed for qualified First Aiders that have completed the Level 3 Award 3 day First Aid at Work or the 2 day Re-qualification.  

Please ensure before booking on this course that: 

1. You have completed the Level 3 Award 3 Day First Aid at Work or a 2 Day Re-qualifying First Aid course. 

2. Your First Aid at Work Certificate has not expired by more than 28 days (if it has you will need to attend the 3 Day First Aid at Work Course). 

3. You have your First Aid at Work Certificate to produce to the Trainer on the first day of the course. 

Session highlights: 

• Priorities of treatment 

• CPR 

• Choking 

• Unconscious patient 

• Wounds/bleeding 

• Heart attacks 

• Burns and scalds 

• Epilepsy/seizures 

• Diabetes 

• Fractures, sprains and strains 

Target audience:  Qualified First Aiders that have completed the Level 3 Award First Aid at Work (3 day) or the 2 day Re-qualification.

The HSE also recommends that First Aiders should attend an annual 3 hour refresher course in years 1 & 2 to help ensure that their skills and knowledge are kept up to date. In the 3rd year the individual will need to attend the 2 Day Re-qualifying First Aid course if they wish to maintain their certificate.

Please note: You must arrive at the venue for 9.30 at the latest, you must also stay the full duration of the course as it is a HSE requirement that you have undertaken 12 Hours training prior to taking the assessment. If you arrive after this time you will not be allowed onto the course and may be charged the full cost.
