Teachers and leaders will explore practical, evidence based recommendations to support teachers to develop metacognitive and self-regulated learning skills, based upon the recent EEF guidance report

Developing learning in the classroom through Metacognition and Self-regulated learning will support schools who are reviewing their curriculum provision in the light of the new Ofsted framework.

Amanda Spielman,HMCI (Sept, 2018) refers to ‘’developments in cognitive psychology and theories of working memory as guides for curriculum design’’. 

Understanding how to develop self –regulated learning in pupils will support schools in developing a rich curriculum with learning at its centre. 

This course is suitable for senior and middle leaders.

Dates: Friday 13th March 2020 & Friday 19th June 2020 - 9.30am-3.30pm
