The NHS would like to invite your school and your students to Careers Fair 2020.

The fair will be held on 4 March 2020 at Bradford University Student Central and is all about helping students explore the wide range of career opportunities available in the health and care sector.

Careers Fair 2020 is organised by local NHS organisations, local authority, the voluntary, independent and community sector in partnership with Bradford College and Bradford University. It is for students aged 13 to 18 years, year groups 9 to 13. The aim is to give them valuable information about careers and opportunities in health and care, as well as help schools and colleges support the Personal, Health, Social and Citizenship (PHSCE) curriculum.

‘Growing our own’ is one of the key foundations of our Bradford District and Craven health and care workforce strategy and we are actively working with schools and colleges to ensure we raise awareness to the wide range of career and job role opportunities so we can encourage young people to join our workforce in the future. We have much to offer, not just in terms of clinical, diagnostic and direct care roles, but in other areas such as community support, IT, research, business and administrative functions.

I would encourage all local schools and colleges to bring their students along. As well as the main careers fair, there will also be a number of practical workshops, health and wellbeing information, support for young careers and much more.

If you have any questions about the event, please email communications@bradford.nhs.uk.
