We will be doing maintenance to our website systems on Sunday, 31 January. Despite the ongoing situation with Covid-19 it is essential that we maintain the security of our systems. This will help us continue to deliver vital public health messages and information about council services via our website and allow you all to access our services using online forms. The work should be done with little disruption to you and any interruption should be short. If you do have problems accessing the site or something doesn’t work on Sunday, please try again later.
A course which aims to improve theoretical knowledge of autism in secondary and to look at practical strategies used in classrooms across the whole range of the autistic spectrum.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
The content includes an introduction to the TEACH approach, social communication theory and zones of regulation. Delegates will have the opportunity to spend time in classrooms in Coop Academy Southfield, mainstream classrooms and the DSP for autism in Coop Academy Grange. There will be time for joint professional reflection on the observations so that delegates feel more confident in planning and delivering strategies to support students with autism in their own educational setting.
