Achieving the Online Safety Mark Opportunity - 24 Oct, 16 Jan, 21 May

A growing number of Bradford schools have been awarded the SWGfL Online Safety Mark over recent years. This 3 day course will guide delegates on how to create, deliver and evaluate a detailed (e)Safeguarding action plan to meet the SWGfL Online Safety Mark standard.

This has been our most popular course in recent years as schools understand the importance Online Safety plays in Safeguarding.

Whole school (e)Safeguarding sits firmly in the area of safeguarding and expectations from the DfE and Ofsted have been clearly documented in publications from both organisations in recent years. Early in the course we discuss and identify clear roles and responsibilities for (e)Safeguarding across the whole school ensuring there is a team of relevant staff to take responsibility rather than one individual.

The course content will include:
• Understanding the risks relating to (e)Safeguarding in the primary setting and identify roles and responsibilities within the staff at your school.
• Using the SWGfL 360 degree safe online safety audit tool to evaluate your school’s (e)Safeguarding provision.
• Reviewing your present provision with regard to data security, physical security, passwords, connectivity, filtering, monitoring and Wi-Fi.
• Investigating and exploring a range of curriculum resources to enable the design and delivery of an appropriate Online Safety Curriculum meeting the needs of the Computing Curriculum.

The course takes place over 3 days at The Innovation Centre Bradford on the following dates:-

24 October
16 January
21 May

The cost of the course is £525 (£420 for Curriculum Innovation subscriber schools) which includes lunch and refreshments.
